About Us

Important Notice: Lambda / Live & Let Live is now holdings its meetings at Austin Galano Club. You can find location information for Austin Galano Club on the Map page. You can find more information on the Austin Galano Club web site. Because of AA's sixth tradition, we cannot provide a link; you can, however, use a web search engine to find your way to the Austin Galano Club web site.

Since 1976, the primary purpose of the fellowship of the Lambda / Live & Let Live group has been to stay sober and help other alcoholics stay sober. We describe our group as “LGBT sensitive” because a large portion of our membership comes from the lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender community. ALL are welcome, however, and the only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirements for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA memberships, we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
